Broadmeadow Schools are committed to supporting the DfE’s strategy for Sustainability and Climate Change. We recognise our responsibility to prepare our pupils for the challenges of the future and to reduce our school's environmental footprint.
As a member of the Robin Hood Multi Academy Trust, we are currently developing a comprehensive Climate Action Plan to be published by the end of January 2026.
Our upcoming plan will focus on four key areas:
Data & Estates: Working with the Trust to monitor energy usage and reduce carbon emissions across our school buildings.
Education: Embedding climate education and biodiversity across our curriculum, ensuring pupils understand the natural world.
School Grounds: Enhancing our outdoor spaces to support local wildlife and provide "nature-rich" learning environments for our children.
Operations: Reviewing our supply chains, waste management, and travel to promote sustainable choices within our school community.
Sustainability Lead: Mr K Medway
Status: Plan currently in development.
We look forward to sharing our full strategy with parents and the community in early 2026.
