We are very proud of our commitment to the Arts at Broadmeadow. Art, Music, Dance and Drama are all taught on a regular basis in every class from the nursery through to Year Two. We feel that all children at Broadmeadow learn to gain confidence and have their self esteem raised through the Arts activities that they take part in. It is an important part of their school life and one which they can carry with them after they leave us.
At Broadmeadow children have the experience of working with an artist Mark Riley. Children learn about the work of famous artists, various techniques to make images on paper and a very wide range of 2D and 3D work.
Music is taught by a music specialist Claire Vaughan. Children perform in front of the school and their parents. Children learn to play percussion instruments, sing, recognise and make a range of sounds.
Dance and drama are taught through class based activities and PE lessons.
